I have never been this excited in my entire life. In just a couple of weeks from now, I will be launching my very first collection of my own design. I am lucky to have an eye for fashion and detail. I wasn’t one of those who had the best childhood memories. I was always teased by my friends and I can’t seem to find a nice guy who would like me even after reaching my teenage years. There are times when you are preoccupied by numerous things that you end up making grave mistakes everywhere you turn. It may not be that you are ignorant in what you are doing, but a lapse of concentration may cost you more than you would imagine. I had been accepting friends in my facebook account without bothering to know if I knew the person or not. I reasoned out with myself that I only wanted to make more friends and therefore that would not be an issue. With deadlines that I had to meet, I worked later and later and sometimes spend my weekends in the office. I still managed to communicate frequently on facebook email account but my judgment was lopsided. I ended up chatting with people I did not know. Sometimes when you get the feeling that someone understands you, you end up doing and saying things that you would otherwise have not said. I must have spilled more than I intended because the emails from these strange friends increased. They were taking liberties that I had not given and I was afraid of deterring them. I did not want to make any password changes because I knew that it was not affected, but I was becoming more wary as the days went by. The only way was to unfriend them so that they stopped taking all my time. I hoped that it would take time for them to know that I had taken that measure against them. I knew that it would be the last time I tried to multi task knowing that it would get me in trouble. Maybe I should put a permanent note on my desk.
I grew up in a blue collar home – actually, the collar was not so blue, but mostly brown and black from the dirty sweat my folks would leech from their glands in combination with the dirty soils of the land they farmed – so it is amazing that all three of their kids, my brother and sister, plus myself, would all become attorneys, me being a Rock Hill attorney.

My mother and father have already retired from their work last year. And I think they got pretty bored with doing nothing, apart from gardening. I think they got used to the busy lifestyle since they were both in the corporate world. When I was very young, I remember my mother bring me to a summer clinic with our neighbor’s daughter Cassandra. I did not have any clue back then why she brings me there.
